Also, on an uncharacteristically serious note:
Despite how molar-meltingly sweet this page is, for me it has a delightfully tart aftertaste. After all, what Liam has requested here is essentially a CLOSETED relationship, and I've seen a few of those play out. When people try to segregate their love lives from their private lives, things often get... interesting. While disaster isn't inevitable under those circumstances, suffice to say the gas can is never far from the matches.
Either way, I look forward to watching this progress :)

I mean I love it they´re finally talking about it, but beiing in a closeted relationship were one of the partners (tell me if I´m wrong) doesn't think being out is so wrong and one is scared to death others find out, is not really all that much of a step forward. But on the other hand, whern I was younger me and my girlfriend just tried out the closeted thing for a while and we came out after a few months when we were very sure we were going to be together and be each others rock in all of this. So it doesn't have to be all bad. They're young so I get the feeling they think they have a lot to lose (like his father's respect or soemthing:)), but I just hope this isn't going to play out bad:) Everybody deserves to be happy in love, even fictional chracters ;)

11.28.2011, 7:25 AMThis might seem like a stretch but this kinda fits with the "two steps back" thing for Chapter 2. It's a step forward but it doesn't seem like Liam is being completely true to his feelings towards Milo considering he doesn't want anyone to know. Having an openly gay relationship in high school (I know they're not in "high school" but obviously they're of the same age in the US :P) can be one of the hardest things to do at that age. I have a feeling this is gonna be the main idea of the next Chapter, but I could be wrong.
(I hope this was coherent enough...im quite exhausted -_-)

I remember that in my school, if you were the way you were, then more power to you...take your pleasures where you can find them.

Actually the only thing that I found difficult was comming out and fearing people wouldn't accept me, but I ended up with people telling me they loved me no matter what. So I never had any trouble. Not even being out in school, but I can imagine it's not as easy for everybody. And to be honest people at my university are a lot more narrowminded saying it sickens them:S But at least I know now I have people who like me for me and don't care for preferences. But I think when you're as young as those two cute characters here, you feel like you have a lot more to lose. But it's good to hear some people didn't have that much to deal with growing up. Its always good to notice people taking others for who they are^^

11.28.2011, 10:42 PMI'm in my twenties and I still find it very hard to be out in the open. Sure, I was a teenager not too long ago, but I can't imagine how teens nowadays face it. Then again, the storyline is back in 2008. On that topic, it seems that snogging in private loos is a-okay.

And maybe it's just this page, but it seems like Milo's hair "inflates" slightly when he's feeling confident. XP

Also I LOVE that bit about EXCEPTIONALLY blue eyes! So Milo isn't just admiring Liam, it seems it runs both ways! At least a little bit. :P

So we decided to do a monochromatic theme instead of just greyscale, and settled on blue as being the color we both mutually found to be most aesthetically pleasing to wash an entire page in shades of. That's the long and short of it! :)

11.30.2011, 10:55 PMI'm so loving this comic. You got mad skills girl! Both in art and story telling. My only critique is that it would be so much better if they sounded British. There are a ton of sites you can go to for British speak that would help. And I think there are forums to get a Brit to beta your work too. I think this small change can definitely make your comic print worthy. (I mean it is totally visually print worthy, just publishers would be on it!)

12.1.2011, 1:21 AMThanks for saying so! We're actually avoiding doing that on purpose - we don't like when accents are written out in print. Sometimes it can be difficult to read when it goes overboard, and it's typically better avoided in written word. It reads easier if the reader to applies the accent themselves :)Hopefully publishers wont mind when we're ready to take that step, though, haha! ♥
